Do You Really Need CLEP Study Guides?

Many people such as yourself wonder if you really need CLEP study guides to help pass your test. There are a couple of things that you should consider when making your informed decision.

How much time do you have?

If you have a large enough budget and can afford several text books and other materials, it may be a good idea for you to purchase them for your studies, assuming you have the time to get through them.

  • Big budgets – The study guides will help you focus on what to study in the textbooks that you have bought for the specific test you will take.
  • Moderate budgets – If you can only fit one text book into your budget, a study guide will help complement the text by filling in any voids, blanks, or holes in the topics that normally several books should cover.  Additionally, you will be able to read about the topic in a different voice or wording, which really helps your understanding and comprehension.
  • Smaller budgets – Study guides are generally cheaper than those large textbooks sold in college book stores.  Not only will you be saving money, you will be more focused on all the topics you need to concentrate on.  You will also have a better idea of what topics to talk to a librarian about to help expand your knowledge even more.

No matter what you budget is, as you can see the value in using these study guides in your test preparation strategy.
